Advanced Utility Networks
Advanced Utility Networks operates two network companies – Advanced Electricity Networks and Advanced Water Infrastructure Networks, delivering safe and secure energy and water network services to developers of residential, commercial and industrial projects across the whole of the UK.
BUUK Infrastructure
BUUK Infrastructure provides multi-utility networks on new-build developments across England, Scotland, and Wales, securing contracts in the competitive market through GTC, Power On Connections and Metropolitan businesses. We design, install, adopt, own, and operate network infrastructure for all utilities – heat, electricity, gigabit fibre, water, and wastewater.

Eclipse Power
Eclipse Power are a valued IDNO partner for Developers, ICP’s and utility consultants alike. Our electrical distribution network experience and technical competency, combined with commercial understanding sets us apart from others, alongside our friendly, approachable, and flexible style. We adopt new electrical grid connections, working collaboratively with clients and partner organisations across all market sectors. This includes Residential developments from Canary Wharf to Scotland and Industrial/Commercial developments such as Kensington Olympia and EHV connected/metered Data Centres. We have also now become the ‘go-to’ IDNO for large Extra High Voltage (EHV) connected Battery Storage sites, having secured the electrical grid connections for several projects including Europe’s largest Battery Storage site at Minety Substation in Wiltshire.
Energy Assets
Energy Assets is an accredited Independent Distribution Network Operator (IDNO), Independent Gas Transporter (IGT), and fibre optic network owner. Specialising in final mile network adoption, ownership, and management services, we’re equipped with an innovative approach to infrastructure installations for heat pumps, electric vehicle charging points, and hydrogen-ready pipes. Our data integration ensures network load management and power supply safety, positioning us as a key player in realising Net Zero ambitions.
Our portfolio spans residential and commercial developments and low-carbon assets, making us a one-stop solution for adopting gas, electricity, and fibre networks. Our commitment to Net Zero ambitions and our role in the roll-out of Britain’s EV charging network testifies to our strong focus on renewable assets.
ESP Utilities
ESP Utilities Group is one of the UK’s largest and longest established Independent Gas Transporters (IGT) and Independent Distribution Network Operators (IDNO). We provide a service to customers by owning and operating gas and electricity networks and gas smart meters all over the UK. We only adopt and by doing so, work collaboratively with over 100 utility constructors across the UK. We work with accredited independent connection providers and utility infrastructure providers ranging from small specialists to industry leaders across Great Britain.
We work with businesses at all points in the supply chain to provide bespoke solutions for complex projects, providing technical & safety assurance whilst managing costs and achieving completion deadlines. Our portfolio of connections covers a wide variety of residential, industrial and commercial networks. Ofgem licensed and managed by 3i infrastructure we have long track record and commitment to the industry.
In 2021 they launched ESP Water expanding their multi-utility offering.
Fulcrum
Fulcrum is a multi-award-winning utility business and Network Operator with a heritage that includes being part of British Gas, Transco and National Grid. Through its group businesses, Fulcrum is committed to powering a net-zero future and designs, builds, owns and maintains utility infrastructure of all complexities across the residential, commercial and industrial markets, nationally. Fulcrum is proud to have connected, own and operate utility infrastructure of national significance, including the gas network feeding the 2012 Olympic Stadium, Olympic Park and flame. Fulcrum is able to own gas and electric networks via its Independent Gas Transporter (IGT) and Independent Network Operator (IDNO) licences.
Green GEN Cymru
Green GEN Cymru is building and operating a green energy network for Wales that will ensure renewable energy flows to homes, hospitals, schools, businesses, and communities. We’re playing a pivotal role in providing a reliable and robust distribution network that will tackle the energy crisis, climate crisis, and cost-of-living crisis. Our networks will also empower rural communities through investment, jobs, and skills, enabling communities to live modern electric lives.
Harlaxton Energy Networks
Harlaxton Energy Networks is an independent distribution network operator (IDNO) regulated and licensed by Ofgem. We design, install, own and operate electrical distribution networks throughout the UK. The company was established in 2014 and has since grown a diverse portfolio of both domestic and commercial import and export connections. Harlaxton Energy Networks is part of the Harlaxton Group which also includes Harlaxton Engineering Services, a multi-utility Independent Connections provider (ICP). The ICP organisation operates in the electricity, gas and water markets and by drawing on a wealth of experience provides a wide range of specialist services.
IDCSL
Licensed and regulated by Ofgem, Independent Distribution Connection Specialists Ltd. (IDCSL) provides an enhanced alternative to traditional electricity network adoptions. As an Independent Distribution Network Operator (IDNO), IDCSL can simplify connections for developers nationwide.
Their customer-focused approach delivers tailored solutions; with in-house engineering capabilities and strategic supply chain partnerships, IDCSL removes obstacles so their customers can power their ambitions.
Indigo Networks
Indigo Networks are your local carrier of gas and electricity; dedicated to heating and powering your home or workplace. We are licensed by Ofgem, which ensures that we maintain and develop a safe and secure network of infrastructure and connections that serves your requirements. Indigo networks are an independent carrier of energy to over 187,000 domestic and commercial premises across the UK.
As one of the largest independent network operators in the country, we offer a fully supported service for the adoption of assets, backed by our team of experienced industry experts. We appreciate that flexibility and swift responses to design and construction issues are key to overcoming the challenges faced by delivering connections in line with developer expectations. It’s all about making the connections and we fully understand the pressures faced by utility contractors to manage and deliver great service to their customers.
Last Mile Asset Management
Last Mile Asset Management (LMAM) adopt and operate electricity, gas, water and wastewater networks that are designed, constructed and commissioned by Lloyds accredited Independent Connection Providers (ICPs).
LMAM offers competitive asset values for single or dual utility, residential, commercial, smart metering or mixed developments and guarantees prompt payment of asset values.
We are responsible for managing the adoption from quotation, to the adoption of the asset and the process is designed to be very simple. We work with ICPs across the UK, delivering value and ensuring developments for national and regional housebuilders and independent developers are efficiently connected to the utility infrastructure
Leep Utilities
Leep Utilities is a Multi-Utility network owner and operator, delivering and maintaining straightforward connections through established partnerships across the UK. Bringing transparency to the Asset Adoption process, Leep work with developers, contractors and consultants to provide flexible solutions for electricity, water, gas and heat networks. Formed in 2017 as a result of a Joint Venture between Ancala Partners and The Peel Group, Leep has a portfolio of sites across the UK including MediaCityUK, Liverpool Waters, Battersea Power Station & Canary Wharf.
mua Group
mua Group is an independent electricity and gas distribution network operator, connecting homes and businesses across Britain to essential energy infrastructure. We provide expert solutions for EHV and HV grid connections to battery energy storage systems (BESS), data centres, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, and large industrial and commercial projects. We’re also a regulated water and wastewater company, adopting and operating drinking water and sewerage networks.
UK Power Distribution
UK Power Distribution is an Ofgem licensed Independent Distribution Network Operator, established in November 2015. Our business is to serve domestic, commercial and industrial customers, through the adoption and operation of electricity distribution networks from Low Voltage to 132kV, throughout Great Britain. Our portfolio of networks includes several Primary Substation sites, which provide power to a number of large Logistics developments where companies such as Amazon are located and a 132kV Connection supporting a 50MW Battery Energy Storage Solution. Delivered through pioneering solutions and changes, we continue to provide customers with forward thinking and flexible approaches to New Connections and electricity network adoption. UK Power Distribution’s majority shareholder is Macquarie, a global infrastructure investment company.
Vattenfall Networks
Vattenfall Networks Ltd is an Ofgem regulated Independent Distribution Network Operator. We own and maintain electrical networks to provide safe and reliable supplies to our customers. Operating since 2017, with a focus on commercial, industrial and large mixed-use developments. The company is part of Vattenfall group, which is one of Europe’s largest energy companies. Vattenfall has owned and operated electrical networks in Sweden for over 100 years, as well as in Germany. With this, brings invaluable capability and operational experience. We are agnostic to the ICP market. Safety is a priority at Vattenfall and is one of our core values.
